The Rock Church is all about Jesus
We are a church that worships Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior. Our entire existence is based on this one eternal choice: to know Jesus & to share His Good News with all of our state, our nation, and the world.

Our mission statement reflects that vision: “The Rock exists to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by meeting the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people in the Valley by building relationships through community involvement. The Rock is a place where families, singles, and the broken hearted find their faith increased through spiritual growth, acceptance, loving support, and evangelism.  We strive to be a voice for the Lord to our community & county by being culturally relevant, while remaining true to our roots in the Foursquare Gospel.

Our History
When you stroll through the weekend services of The Rock Church it's hard to imagine that The Rock started as a quiet whisper from God, just 3 years ago. In 2006, Pastor Tyson and his wife moved from Colorado to Nebraska, to start a church. They served as assistant pastors in Akron for 4 years when God called on Tyson to plant a church that would serve Scottsbluff and beyond. As he and his family prayed over this calling with the other church leaders, Tyson sensed God’s urgency to begin something new in Scottsbluff.

With humble beginnings the church had six committed people when it opened its doors, four of which were Pastor Tyson's family.  Since the establishment of the church, God has developed a team of dedicated people and the 'family' continues to grow.  Many lives have come to Christ through the Sunday Services, Outreaches, and people passionately sharing Christ.

We know that God is working through The Rock Church and look forward to God making more "HIS"tory through us at The Rock!
 

The Rock Church's Vision
    The Rock will be known in the Valley for being a loving, serving, accepting, forgiving church. We will see people using the gifts given to them, while empowering them with leadership skills to make a difference for Jesus. The Rock will be enthusiastic about their relationships with God, family, and community. We will also be a church that is passionate about worshiping our Savior, Jesus Christ, and reaching out to those who are “missing.”
